Rural America Braces for Labor Shortages After Immigration Crackdown

Voice for America reportson the impacts of a crackdown on immigration on farm labor.  A rural county in Pennsylvania is facing the consequences of the Trump administration’s crackdown on undoocumentedl immigrants, as businesses in the agricultural-based economy experience labor shortages. Some orchard owners and local pro-immigrant activists are lobbying state and federal lawmakers to raise awareness of the contributions by immigrants in a county that voted overwhelmingly for President Donald Trump in November. Bill Rodgers has this report on what is happening in Adams County, Pennsylvania. Adams County is the home of Gettysburg, site of the watershed battle of the Civil War.
